General information about EcoSnap's Reseller Accounts with WHM

Our reseller plans give you access to WHM (web host manager) which is the administrative counterpart to cPanel.  From the WHM web based interface, you'll be able to define hosting plans (name them, define the limits and features such as disk space, bandwidth allocation,  number of MySQL dbs, etc).  Resource overselling IS allowed, for convenience.

You can try out a demo of WHM (and cpanel) here if you'd like: http://www.cpanel.net/products/cpwhm/try_cp_whm.htm
Keep in mind that WHM is your "admin" interface, and then cPanel is the account-level control panel interface which is what your clients would see.

WHM makes it very easy to restructure accounts at any time.  Say you want to increase a given account's disk space or bandwidth allocation - such actions are incredibly straight forward to accomplish.  You could either manually alter an account's limits (for small changes such as a minor increase in disk space), OR, you can use the built-in upgrade/downgrade system to apply a different hosting plan to a given account.

Each of your resold accounts will have their own cPanel login and password.  They'll be able to access cpanel by going to theirdomain.com/cpanel OR by going to your-reseller-domain.com/cpanel.  From there, they'll enjoy all of the same features that our direct customers have.  The only difference is that *you* will be considered their web host, as opposed to EcoSnap.

WHM allows branding / customization of the cPanel/WHM interface.  By default they're essentially unbranded, so your customers won't see our company name or logo.  We also support custom DNS servers.  So, for example, your customers could use NS1 and NS2.YOUR-DOMAIN.COM when registering domains.

WHM really is quite feature-packed, but the one thing it does not automatically do for you is billing.  You would be responsible for charging your customers as you see fit.  There are some free packages out there to do billing, however.  One that comes to mind is phpCoin, which is actually included with Fantastico De Luxe - an auto-installer available with every hosting account we offer.  If you're looking for a commercial billing system,  we recommend WHMCS: http://www.whmcs.com/
