Can't Access cPanel because of your Firewall?

The problem:

If your firewall is blocking access to cPanel, you won't even see the login screen. The browser will seem like it's trying for a long time to bring up the page, but will ultimately fail with a generic "site not found" or "cannot access site, check your network settings" type of error.  If you can see cPanel's login screen, then your firewall and network settings are not at fault, in which case you can ignore this article.

cPanel runs on a non-standard port, 2083, and many corporate firewalls deny access to that port since it's not recognized as a standard service. As a workaround, we've set up a proxy that allows you to access cPanel on the standard https port so that you should be able to sign in even from a restrictive environment.

The Solution:

https://cpanel.your-domain.com/ should work.  Just replace "your-domain.com" with the domain you have hosted with us.

Your browser may prompt you about the SSL certificate because it's our cert (for *.ecosnap.com) and that won't match your domain. It's completely safe to ignore the warning and tell your browser to continue on to the requested URL.

Let us know if you're still unable to access cPanel.
